Ultra Mexico will most likely not be returning to Mexico City this year according to internet chatter. After a range of problems plagued the festival in its 2018 edition; Ultra seems to have decided it would be best if the festival took a break for 2019. With festival attendees facing issues ranging from delayed opening times to incomplete stages last year, perhaps it’s for the best so the festival can regroup!
The report comes via an unverified Facebook account as below (In Spanish):
While we can’t verify this particular report as of now, it stands to reason that Ultra Mexico would be alongside Resistance Mexico and would have been announced by now if it was scheduled. To date there’s been no official announcement from Ultra and representatives from the festival had no comment on this report. They did point out that Resistance Mexico City was on the books for December. Mexico City will still see the return of RESISTANCE this year on December 7 at Campo Marte as a one-day standalone event. RESISTANCE is Ultra’s house and techno brand, and the festival’s lineup last year included talented artists such as Charlotte de Witte, Eats Everything and Maceo Plex. With expectations set high, we expect nothing less of this year’s lineup. Â
Tickets for RESISTANCE Mexico City 2019 are still available here, and while we wait for December 7 to come by, relive Charlotte de Witte’s set on the Carl Cox x RESISTANCE stage at Ultra Miami 2019 below!
