Despite a string of cancelled shows and a prolonged absence this summer, the Swedish House Mafia were back on stage this week-end to close out their 2019 tour dates. The trio of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello performed in Marina Bay, part of the peripheric shows to the 2019 Singapore Grand Prix.
Singapore has become one of the World’s most glamorous venues. The city-state hosts one of two F1 night-races on its streets. The spectacle both on and off the track brings the adrenaline and amazement of both a sport and a nightclub.
This is all part of Formula 1’s new management scheme to make races even more attractive. The concerts alongside the races and tailgating are all part of a massive festival. The Swedish trio follows a long list of acts which have previously included the likes of Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Britney Spears and others.
Their performance had been forecasted back in March and remained on their schedule despite the other cancellations. It featured some remixes of their classic hits, as well as their still unreleased staple intro. The spectacle featured similar lights and screens to their performances in Stockholm at the beginning of the year. Besides the main event itself, the trio could also be seen on track hanging out with the drivers.
With this show in the books the 2019 SHM World Tour has technically come to a close. There are no upcoming dates on the calendar. Will they stay quiet for the rest of 2019? We know the next things to come are a new single and US Tour Dates, but no idea when.
