Orjan Nilsen – Don’t Need To Know Your Name

Norwegian DJ Orjan Nilsen just dropped his seventh single of the year. The veteran producer released ‘Don’t Need To Know Your Name‘ this past Friday. This marks the third track of his upcoming fourth studio album already called ‘The Devil Is In The Detail‘.

Nilsen is known for his epic remixes of Lost Frequencies’ ‘Like I Love You‘ and Loud Luxury’s ‘Body‘. We are accustomed to his trance or deeper house tracks, or even to bigger tracks, such as ‘FOMO‘. But we are less so to the livelier and more melodic progressive house. That is, in recent times, there have been aplenty, most notably, ‘Love Rush In‘ in late 2018.

‘Don’t Need To Know Your Name‘ offers a sweet yet vibrant melody with emotional vocals. They tell the story of the first glimpse of love; that dreamy state of mind and soul before everything unravels. The punctual use of strings and entrancing rhythm enrichen an already interesting chord progression. We recognize the trance tradition in the drop, through the powerful melody and thrilling waves.

The track was released on Nilsen’s own label In My Opinion, now a subbranch of Armada Records. Credited for writing the lyrics are also Emanuel Abrahamsson, Linnea Sodahl and Robert Habolin.

Once again, Orjan Nilsen delivers what could be a crowd banger come the release of his album.
