Thanks to a series of leaks from Photo Rumors, pictures of GoPro’s upcoming Hero 8 action camera and Max 360 camera have surfaced.
Alongside the pictures, the Hero 8 come with a selection of additional specifications. As seen in the pictures above, the Hero 8 action camera will sport a few accessories. It appears that it will include an external microphone, LED light, and an additional screen. While those may be neat, what really sets this year’s release apart from last year’s Hero 7 is the upgrade to the camera. It will be able to shoot in 4K 120 fps which is double the shooting speed of its predecessor.
While there aren’t any leaked specs of the GoPro Max, Photo rumors say that it has been registered with the Japanese Ministry of Communications and the FCC. The Max is GoPro’s first 360 camera release since they launched the GoPro Fusion 360 in 2017.
As with any leak, it’s important to take any details with a grain of salt. What we do know is that GoPro usually releases a new Hero camera every September. Based on that, we can assume that we’ll know the official details soon.
