Music listeners without a streaming subscription have yet another reason to rejoice this month thanks to Apple Music. The music streaming service has extended its free trial period to four months.
This trial extension comes just one week after Spotify increased its trial period to 90 days.
However, not just anyone can get in on the new four-month free trial. Apple has partnered with the app LivingSocial to offer a limited number of extended free trials. The LivingSocial app helps users find and save on activities, dining, getaways and more in their area.
Users must sign up with LivingSocial to activate their fourth-month free trial of Apple Music. The offer is only available to new subscribers. But previous subscribers aren’t left empty-handed. Previous Subscribers can get one month free of Apple Music.
Only time will tell if Spotify will respond with a longer free trial or if other streaming services will take note. In this case, new subscribers seem to be the winners in the never-ending music streaming battle.
