Labor day weekend is just a few days away and for all of those in the North East and hardcore ravers, this only means one thing. Electric Zoo is back at Randall’s Island! The 3 day festival is returning to New York for the 11th straight year and we can’t be more stoked. Set times are now available on the Electric Zoo App but with so many talented acts how will you choose who to see? Well, we can help you out with that. Here are 5 acts that you can’t miss at this year’s Electric Zoo.
1) Returning for his second year in a row, Kaskade is will be taking the mainstage Friday night to perform a special sunset set. Honestly, there isn’t much to be said other than the fact that he will take you on a magical ride during his set. The melodic vocals and the variety of drops incorporated in his set are unlike any other acts this weekend. Be sure to mark down 7:10 PM at the mainstage to watch Kaskade throw down.
2) Above & Beyond will be performing this Saturday to close out the mainstage. The trio has been one of the biggest acts in dance music for years now and rightfully so as they offer an ambiance like no other. Their unique ability to create a moment of group therapy is truly an unforgettable experience. They will be performing at the mainstage on Saturday night at 9:30.
3) Another act you simply can not miss is Dabin. The up and coming DJ and producer has collaborated with some of the biggest names out there including ILLENIUM and Seven Lions. Dabin will bring you all the feels while also dropping some dirty bass bangers. Be sure to catch him perform at the Riverside stage at 5:45 on Sunday.
4) After a 2 long days of partying, you’re going to need a bit of a break. Before you close out the weekend, you’ll want to chill out with Nora En Pure at the All My Friends Stage. Nora is well known for her interesting use of naure’s songs in her tracks to bring you into a mesmerizing euphoria state during her shows. She is one act you will not want to miss so make sure to catch her show at 8:15 Sunday night.
5) Finally, you’ve partied and danced all weekend and it’s time for the final act of the weekend. Make sure to get to the mainstage to catch Dog Blood throw down. Dog Blood is the duo of Skrillex and Boys Noize and I assure you, they will not disappoint. Seeing Skrillex and Boys Noize perform individually is already a rare opportunity but to see them go B2B to close out a festival? You know it’s going to be a special time. They will be closing out Electric Zoo’s mainstage at 9:45 Sunday night.
These are our 5 can’t miss acts at this year’s Electric Zoo! But don’t let the party stop there as there are plenty of after parties to hit after the festival is over as well! Tweet at us and let us know who you’re most looking forward to seeing this weekend!
