Diplo and Skrillex have been hard at work putting out music of their own. But Diplo’s recent Instagram post suggests more Jack Ü music could be on the way.
News regarding the duo has been quiet over recent years. It’s been four years since the release of Jack Ü’s one and only album Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü. The album included the hits ‘Take Ü There’ and ‘Where Are Ü Now’. And the last talks of a Jack Ü revival covered by EDMTunes were in December of 2017. During an interview with the Argentine newspaper La Nación, Diplo hinted at when fans could expect more music.
“Skrillex is working on a new album … I think that after that and the new album that we are preparing with Major Lazer, we will make music together again.”
-Diplo
Diplo addressed the lack of releases in a Q&A with Nina Las Vegas. He stated that major labels played a big factor in new music from Jack Ü. Diplo claimed that Skrillex being signed to Atlantic makes it “difficult to do anything with that”. Skrillex has been signed to Atlantic Records since 2002 according to his Atlantic Records artist page.
With the history of huge hits from the duo, fans can only hope more are on the way from Jack Ü.
