In less than two months, festival goers will head down the yellow brick road for another weekend at Dancefestopia. And the Kansas City based music festival is ready to give attendees four days of electronic dance music with a focus on bass in the heart of the Midwest.
Dancefestopia will return to La Cygne, Kansas on September 5th – 8th. This marks the festival’s second year at this location. The location also hosts the country music festival Tumbleweed, put on by the same company Borda Productions.
The wide expanse of land, alternatively home to the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center for kids, includes four stages, camp grounds and a pond attendees can canoe in. Previously, Dancefestopia has focused on a Wizard of Oz theme and this year continues the tradition.
The centrally located festival boasts an impressive lineup including RL Grime, Feed Me, Alison Wonderland, Rusko and more. This year’s festival offers a Thursday Wakaan takeover. At Thursday’s takeover, ticket holders can see Liquid Stranger and fellow Wakaan artists Champagne Drip, G-Rex, Lucii and others.
Many artists on the lineup will be returning for the second year in a row. This list includes Rusko, Said the Sky, Sullivan King and Atliens.
Additional to the lineup, Dancefestopia offers numerous attractions to enjoy while on the festival grounds. Attendees can buy separate tickets to climb a rock wall, ride in a hot balloon or zip line through the festival.
Tickets and camping passes to Dancefestopia are still available, as are payments plans. The festival offers several camping options including cabins and elevated tents.
