From June 26, 2019, to June 20, 2019, fans flocked to the Glastonbury Festival located at the Worthy Farm, United Kingdom. Although most attendees can confirm that their experience went above and beyond there expectations, one security guard was not so lucky.
It has been reported that on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at 5:00 PM, a security guard with the G4S security team was found dead in his tent at the Glastonbury Festival grounds.
On July 1, 2019, a spokesperson for G4S told Billboard in a statement that read,
“At 5:00 pm on Sunday 30 June, one of our employees was found dead in his tent at Glastonbury Festival, where he had been working as a security officer. The next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this difficult time.”
Furthermore, a spokesperson for the Somerset and Avon police confirmed the death to Billboard. The corpse was described as a “man in his 60s”.
The “officers attended and are satisfied the man’s death is not suspicious. The coroner has been informed.” For the time being, no cause of death has been reported. There have been no additional statements released by the spokesperson for the Glastonbury Festival.
We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased security guard. We wish you peace of mind when it comes to the official cause of death.
