Moon Boots – Keramas/Harpanet
Coming in for a space landing is Brooklyn-based, Chicago-trained artist Moon Boots with a double single release. Titled ‘Keramas‘ and ‘Harpanet‘, this master of hearty feel-good dance music is bringing his mystical sound and new elements of production to Anjunadeep yet again.
Keramas
He draws inspiration from his worldly travels (like a field recording in Keramas Beach) for this one. You’ll feel the melody transport you to various environments as it flows. The Hindu singer’s voice beneath the background sings in short bits from a distance. The hypnotic fragments mixed with exotic chimes resemble a temple, creating a true ambiance to the track.
Harpanet
A switching of major and minor keys moving back and forth, the melody swirls over a sinister bass line. It’s an unwavering track packed with seclusion and artist solidarity. With a more upbeat tempo to, ‘Harpanet’ will get you moving on the dance floor.
It’s awesome to see artists make new music in unconventional ways. For Pete Dougherty, he found Bali an incredible place to vacation but also a place full of incredible music culture. Sometimes, the smallest things get overlooked but that was enough for him to hit the decks. We all record things from time to time; when we play it back, that’s where the unexpected can happen.
Pete has explored new sounds and reflected on how electronic music has influenced his creative output. His love for piano synthesizers and keyboards made him the artist he is today. Infusing jazz, house, funk, and soul, he creates these timeless beats for everyone.
Enjoy not one, but two versions of both singles today. The original version and an extended mix are available for listening below!
