It was a festival of fire and beats. While Coachella‘s first day was full of viral moments and headlining performances, it’s getting the most news for what happened at the end of the night. Late in the night around 2am, an explosion ripped through the Coachella campsite area and caused a fire.

The fire department was called and contained the fire. Reportedly the explosion took place in the mobile shower unit of the campsite, destroying 1 trailer and damaging another. The explosion was likely the propane used to heat the shower.
