Miami-based producer PLS&TY — real name Tommy Leas— is a rising talent in the future bass genre. His latest single ‘Motives’ describes the story of falling deep for someone, only to find out it is one-sided. Leas teamed up with Dutch producer GANZ to produce this melodic bass track. It features vocals from Nevve, who is able to captivate the listener through her rich tone.
“‘Motives‘ is about one partner wanting so desperately to feel love, no matter how hard the fall or heartbreak, in spite of the other partner’s lack of commitment. One person ultimately ends up the ‘friend‘, and the other the ‘fool‘, for developing true feelings amongst the partner’s indifference. Yet, as genuine ‘motives‘ always surface, I believe it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all“
PLS&TY is on a similar wavelength to Louis the Child, Manila Killa, and Gryffin. Rusko remixed his song ‘Rebel Love.’ So far PLS&TY has released on Universal, OWSLA, Dim Mak, Disruptor/Sony, Island, Wind-Up/Concord. We are looking forward to hearing more.
