Well folks, it happened–Diplo is taking electronic dance music to Stagecoach Country Music Festival. Playing the late night after party on Sunday, the Diplodocus is taking the stage and closing the weekend out with a bang. Taking place at 11 pm, April 28th, be at the Palomino Stage after Jason Aldean wraps up! It’s going to be another wild conclusion to the weekend.
Many collaborations between pop and electronic artists happen; it’s time for country to tkae a turn. Normally, an internationally known, award-winning EDM artist from LA doesn’t seem fit for a country festival right? Actually, since this is an annual Goldenvoice-produced event, many genre lines are bound to be blurred. Just think of all the surprise stops we have had at Coachella.

How did this come to be?
Diplo and his team approached Vee several years ago inquiring about being part of the dominating country music fest. Held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, it is the the same location where Coachella is held. Let’s not forget Diplo is also slated to perform there as well. Let the marathon begin!
At first, the chances of EDM entering Stagecoach were slim. You do not mess with country fans and their music. However, now on its 13th year, it’s time to spice things up a bit. As you read this, you should know that this is serious for Tom. It is a genre and direction that is important to him. He proved his dedication by showing up to the festival with this team last year decked out in country gear. Imagine, a crew of Diplo shirts and cowboy hats negotiating backstage for the official deal!
