Crystal Skies – Never Change + Carbon
Crystal Skies have officially released two new tracks, ‘Never Change’ featuring Gallie Fisher and ‘Carbon’. This is the duo’s debut on Seven Lions‘ label, Ophelia Records.
With this release, Crystal Skies seems to have fully embraced their beautifully constructed, melodic sound. The vocals from Gallie Fisher in ‘Never Change’ pack a feelsy punch, matching the intensity of the rhythmic beat. Showcasing a classic Seven Lions style, this track delivers layers of sound that mesh perfectly together as it builds up. ‘Carbon’ does not have any vocals, digging into a deeper and darker sound than the track before it. Both tracks provide a freshness that speaks to Crystal Skies’ adaptability as artists and their raw talent.
Crystal Skies emerged in the dance music world in 2014, releasing ‘The Light’ and ‘Lost In The Sky’. From remixing widely-known songs like Illenium’s ‘With You’ to Seven Lions’ ‘Calling You Home’ featuring Runn, Crystal Skies is a duo that has stayed true to their distinctive sound and energy over the last few years. They’ve vocalized that inspiration for this sound has been drawn from artists like Seven Lions, Koan Sound, and Au5.
With their last collaboration ‘Looking For You’ with WE ARE FURY coming out only two weeks prior to ‘Never Change’ and ‘Carbon’, it appears that Crystal Skies will be blessing the dance music world with a lot of new music in 2019. The duo’s addition to Ophelia Records is a big one, and it will be exciting to see how they continue to make magic on the label.
