As Super Bowl LIII quickly approaches, it’s not too late for you and your friends to find a place to watch the big game. Those living near the Virginia Key in Florida, are in luck of a huge party hosted by Ballyhoo Media. The organization is hosting a special event at the Virginia Key Beach Park this Super Bowl weekend that you can’t miss.
Again, the viewing party will be happening at the Virginia Key Beach Park. Those traveling to Miami for Ultra this year will notice this is also where Ultra Resistance will be set up. If you’re worrying about how you’ll be watching the game on the beach, there’s no need to panic! Surprisingly, a massive boat will be anchored offshore which in turn will be holding an unmissable 46-foot screen. Certainly, it’s safe to say that many of you don’t have a television screen that large at home…
“We encourage everyone to bring their bathing suits, towels, sunscreen and anything they want or need to be comfortable for a day at the beach”.
Nate Shapiro, director of business development for Ballyhoo, described the setting as having a “full-on party vibe” to the Miami New Times. Surely, we can’t think of a better way to watch your favorite team win besides actually being at the Super Bowl. In terms of food, there will be plenty of food/drink vendors to choose from within walking distance of the beach.
As the party is expected to attract huge crowds, it’s nice to see the organizers taking thought into the environment. It’s reported that Ballyhoo is partnering with the Surfrider Foundation to help limit the exposure of waste to the environment. Additionally, Shapiro stated they wouldn’t be using any single-use plastics or water bottles that could end up in the ocean.
As for now, Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots fans can look forward to the big game this Sunday. Nevertheless, the first Ballyhoo Super Bowl Beach Party is scheduled from 3pm to 11pm Sunday, February 3. Altogether, tickets cost $15 now online HERE or $20 on the day of the event. See you there!
