Progressive house prodigy Lane 8 announced on Facebook that he is bringing back the This Never Happened Summer Gatherings tour in 2019!
Lane 8 started the This Never Happened gatherings in 2017 with a simple thought in mind. He wanted to foster real connections on the dance floor without the use of cell phones. Through this, attendees will be able to feel a greater sense of community while they bask in Lane 8’s music.
As with the past two summer gatherings hosted by him, 2019’s will be phone free. Attendees will not be allowed to take photos or use their cell phones on the dance floor.
However, while the concept may seem simple enough, it’s much harder than many would think. In our modern day society where we feel the need to document and Instagram almost everything in our lives, our phones are an extension of ourselves.
Lane 8’s summer gatherings will be a great place to detox from our phones and to enjoy the moment. He plans to bring the gathering to three cities: NYC on June 1, LA on June 29, and Colorado on July 13. He and his team scouted the venues of all three locations to bring on the most magical experiences.
In addition to stunning locations, Lane 8 plans to play both a 2-hour opening set and a 3-hour closing set. If you’re excited to attend these incredible summer concerts, then keep an eye out for GA tickets that go on sale Friday!
