Yesterday on Twitter, there was an alleged leak of Grammy Awards winners. The tweet which has now been deleted showed a video of the GRAMMY’S own website. There, the winners of the Big Four categories were revealed.
Possible spoiler warning: Record of the year supposedly goes to ‘I Like It’ by Cardi B. Album of the year to ‘H.E.R’ by H.E.R. Song of the year is supposed to be ‘Shallow’ by Lady Gaga, and finally, the best new artist is Chloe x Halle.
The GRAMMY’S have already responded to this leak. They deny everything, because even if it were true, they’d never admit it. Their official statement read:
“There is no legitimacy to this. GRAMMY results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the GRAMMY Awards ceremony, when names of the recipients are delivered in sealed envelopes.”
It’s impossible to know whether these leaks were real or not. Even if any of the leaked winners happen to be true, it still could be just a coincidence.
Regardless of leaks, or no leaks, the Grammys air on February 10th at 5 PM PST.
