Calvin Harris & Rag ‘n’ Bone Man – Giant

Calvin Harris is objectively one of the best music producers in the world. He’s won over 30+ awards for his music, and worked with all of the biggest names in music. From Florence Welch of ‘Florence + the Machine‘, to Rihanna, and even Sam Smith. Whether you are a fan of pop, disco, progressive, or even straight house music, the man can do it all. Today, he is returning to dance music, in a GIANT way.

For his new track, ‘Giant‘, the Scottish DJ/Record Producer has teamed up with The English singer/songwriter Rag’n’Bone Man, and it is amazing. The track opens up with some crooning courtesy of Rag’n’Bone Man, and between his soulful voice, and the downtrodden lyrics, we get a beautiful uplifting vibe. With a chorus that reads:

I am a giant (Ooh)
Stand up on my shoulders, tell me what you see
‘Cause I am a giant (Ooh)
We’ll be breaking boulders, underneath our feet
I am, I am, I am, I am, I am, I am a giant (Oh)

It is hard not to feel motivated and ready to tackle whatever the world throws your way. If you’re a fan of Avicii, you might enjoy this track for the lyrics alone. The drop reminds me a bit of ‘This Girl‘ by Kungs, and as we all know, that was a song that was hard to escape from for a couple of years. I believe that we can expect the same to happen with ‘Giant‘.
