Jon Hopkins – Singularity (ANNA Remix)
Anyone up for a melodic but simultaneously banging track? An ever-rising star of Techno checks in next. ANNA’s remix of Jon Hopkins’ track Singularity is going to be one playing over and over in your head if you’re a big Techno fan. It seems like Adam Beyer is a fan too, given he played this as his second to last track at his recent Drumcode Halloween set in London.
Above & Beyond Feat. Zoë Johnston – Always (Luttrell Remix)
Its time for us to get into the groovy vibes next with Luttrell’s remix of Always by Above & Beyond featuring Zoë Johnston on the vocals. Luttrell is pegged as Anjuandeep’s guy for spaced out melodic house and techno and he delivers yet again with this tune. The remix was fine tuned while traveling on Above & Beyond’s North American leg of the Common Ground tour and it certainly won our hearts.
Armin van Buuren Feat. James Newman – Therapy (Leo Reyes Remix)
Leo Reyes checks in at number 9 with a remix of Armin van Buuren’s ‘Therapy’. What turned out to be one of the hottest tunes of 2018, Armin van Buuren’s Therapy was also remixed by the likes of STANDERWICK and Super8 & Tab. This electric version rightfully takes its place in our top 10.
Energy 52 – Cafe Del Mar (Tale Of Us Remix)
Another classic track getting the remix treatment, this time its Tale of Us delivering the magic. The Italian duo have been one of Techno’s hottest names in the last few years, and deservedly so. The Afterlife label owners have put a unique twist on EDM and this tune is a testament of what they’ve become. More of the same in 2019 please!
ODESZA Feat. Sasha Sloan- Falls (Kaskade Remix)
Kaskade put his winning touch on an epic track from ODESZA with Sasha Sloan on the vocals. The remix of ‘Falls’ has the same structural tempo, but the synths, chords, and overall sound are darker and heavier. Sasha Sloan’s beautiful vocals remain untouched and rightfully so.
Gryffin (with Elley Duhé) – Tie Me Down (Spencer Brown’s Ibiza Mix)
Did anyone have a better year than Spencer Brown in 2018? These past 12 months gave way to the meteoric rise of the Anjuna superstar. This past summer he remixed ‘Tie Me Down’ originally from Gryffin with Elley Duhé. The remix has a vintage Spencer Brown progressive beat which captured our imagination in 2018.

2018’s remixes were dominated by the Anjuna crew, so there’s no surprise to see their touch in the top five. Gabriel & Dresden gave A&B’s ‘Is It Love’ the remix treatment early in the summer and, needless to say, it certainly is love with this track.
CamelPhat & Elderbrook – Cola (Broning Bootleg)
Another absolutely massive track released in 2017 resulted in a huge remix in 2018. Progressive Trance rising star put an epic tweak on CamelPhat & Elderbrook’s track ‘Cola’ and boy did it pay off.
