Sebastian Ingrosso posted a 15-second video to his Instagram story today, teasing a catchy track we haven’t heard before. Ingrosso has since deleted the video but fortunately, Reddit user Zagi8Â screen recorded it. While the mysterious video seen below is just a black screen, several users stated that Ingrosso posted a video working on music in a studio earlier. From what we heard, the song’s beat and vocals sound incredibly close to what we’d expect from a SHM track. Teasing new music on social media like this is no surprise as Axwell, Ingrosso, and Steve Angello have all used this tactic in the past with their music.
With Axwell previously stating in a BBC interview that new music is on its way, we’re beginning to question: is this a glimpse of their very first track to be released since reuniting? Additionally, Axwell Λ Ingrosso have made it clear that their project together is put on hold, making it odd for them to be advertising a new ID of their own right now. Likewise, Ingrosso could also be showing off a new solo track for his Refune label. So far, no one recognizes the track from any live shows, so there’s a good chance it’s SHM-related.
Nine Swedish House Mafia destinations have been revealed so far, with another countdown set to reach zero in the coming weeks. Does this sound like Swedish House Mafia to you, or is it a false alarm? Remember, the trio have made it clear that they’d be working on music that held its iconic SHM style, rather than follow today’s popular trends.
We’re dying to hear what they’ve been working on, but know it will be well worth the wait. Let us know what you think of the video, and stay tuned for more updates.
