Introducing the New MacBook Air
Ladies and gentlemen, Apple has finally answered our prayers and brought the MacBook Air back with some new additions. As Apple’s only laptop at the $1,000 price point, it hasn’t had any new upgrades since 2015 until now. With a proper refresh of their super thin laptop line, the new Air no longer suffers from low resolution, minor graphics, non-Retina display, and subpar performance.
So what’s new?
It has a Retina display with 4 million pixels for a brilliant debut.
Is it Worth it?
The Air is essentially a thin, modern MacBook Pro. It has the same third-generation keyboard with the butterfly mechanism for more stability, comfort, and precision. With an 8th Gen Intel dual-core CPU and integrated graphics, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to a 1.5TB SSD, you can still use one of the Thunderbolt ports to power an external 5K display. The device is now made of 100 percent recycled aluminum, a first for Apple’s laptop line.
The base model, containing 128GB SSD, is on sale today starting at $1,199. More detailed information can be found on their website here.
