Bakermat – Partystarter
Man, the Netherlands just cranks out quality DJs, don’t they? This week sees another up-and-comer in the fray as Bakermat treats us to some new music. His high energy anthem ‘Partystarter‘ hit digital shelves this week, and it lives up to its lofty name. The track gets its release through Be Yourself/Sony.
Bakermat couldn’t hold back his excitement for the new track on his Twitter page:
Partystarter, my most experimental track to date, is out now on all platforms. Check it out! 🎸https://t.co/12S5QLWCSi pic.twitter.com/YoxxLYJ4HT

Dubbed as his “most experimental track to date,” it is definitely a big deviation from his typical sound. Much more well known for his minimalist techno and deep/tropical house, fans may be shocked to learn that this is his tune. His previous tracks ‘Baby‘ and ‘Lion‘ are massive hits to his name, and ‘Partystarter’ hopes to be the next big thing.
‘Partystarter’ is a high octane melody from beginning to end. Beginning with vocals of a female talking to the DJ, a clashing tambourine/washboard combo has you on high alert. As the wailing bass line kicks in, the expert craft of smashing piano and bongo sounds combine with a groovy guitar riff. In “everything-but-the-kitchen-sink” fashion, a funky rap mixed with a bird flute horn creates a delightful sense of urgency. Think of the song ‘Everybody Talks,’ plus some Black Eyed Peas, mixed with some epic production – it truly is one of a kind. As the “boosters” sound clip hits, you are taken to another level to close out the wonderfully imagined production.
Bakermat has this to say about ‘Partystarter:’
“I’ve never produced a track this fast, loud and heavy before in my life. For me, this track is the ultimate party anthem, something I want to hear when I’m feeling euphoric and want to dance in a crowded room full of equally euphoric people.”
Bakermat’s ‘Partystarter’ is truly one of a kind. He is in the midst of a big European tour, but hopefully will head towards to U.S. in the near future.
