Yes, you heard right. George Evelyn, also known as Nightmares On Wax, just played the highest DJ set in history. The set played at the highest elevation on the planet that is. Hosted by Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, the epic spin session took place on the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. Evelyn and sixteen other climbers made a perilous 18,865 foot climb on September 1st, the International Day Of Peace. With the journey taking them to Crater Camp near the top of the mountain, this was no easy feat for anyone involved.
Designed as a fundraising event for Feathers Tale Children’s Village in Tanzania, the climb has raised over €55,000 . This money will “be used to build a specialist accommodation facility for 25-50 special needs children & their single mothers”. In fact you can still donate by following this link!
With contributors like Pioneer DJ, SOUNDBOKS, and Mixcloud, it’s only a matter of time before we see what Last Night A DJ Saved My Life does next.
