NHL Goalie Shows Off Custom-Made Helmet That Pays Tribute To Avicii

Electronic dance music and sports go hand in hand. Whether the player is getting their head in the game or trying to relax after their match, we truly believe that there is a genre that will cater to all of their related needs. And for one NHL player, the late Avicii meant more to him than just music.

For Anton Forsberg, an NHL goalie for the Chicago Blackhawks, EDM means more to him than simply blasting some tunes. After he watched the late Avicii’s documentary, True Stories, he stated “it was tragic, the whole story”. He continued to elaborate on how “it was tragic how he opened up on everything and still didn’t get the help he needed. I’ve always listened to his music and have been a big fan of it.”

It seems as though the Swedish producer’s story deeply resonated with the hockey professional. He recently decked out his helmet with a stunning black and white portrait of the late DJ, despite never meeting him.

The details that were incorporated into this custom-made piece are truly outstanding! In addition to the portrait, Forsberg’s Shiba Inu named Baxter and the Blackhawks logo were also included in the design. David Gunnarsson, the designer of the impressive piece, had also included his number on the chin for all to see.

For all music lovers out there, we can agree that this captivating creation does not belong in the penalty box. It is simply a “goal” in every sense of the term.
