Electric Taco Invites Pasquale Rotella To Talk About Life, Work, and More

This month on Electric Taco, DJ Vice featured our very own Insomniac founder, Pasquale Rotella, to eat some dank LA tacos while getting to know him a little better. Rotella is a key player in today’s electronic dance music culture. From what started as a passion for music has now turned into an empire of dreams. He has kept music festival culture alive.

The beginning of the video sees Vice picking up the night owl, in a Tesla no doubt. For native Angelenos, there is nothing better to do than find the greatest foodie spots to enjoy with people, right? Sharing culture and life experiences is part of that. How many of you knew that Pasquale grew up in the Palisades? Or tries to follow a healthy lifestyle but also understands Italian fluently? He may not be able to speak it 100% but he can make his way around Italy just fine.

He felt the most at home with hip hop and draws his inspiration from the Venice Boardwalk, where individuals expressed themselves through dance, performances, art, and music. His first underground event introduced him to dance music and it blew his mind.

Arriving at their taco spot, Gracias Madre, they indulged in some exotic, vegan bites and laughs. Continuing their drive, the philanthropist revealed there are times that become too much for him but his passion perseveres. Event planning and production takes a lot of work; the courage, determination, and support from his fans helped him through it. It’s not about the money for him. It’s about doing something for everyone else.

The first events he organized were warehouse parties in LA. Now he’s curated some of the world’s BIGGEST music festivals like EDC, Nocturnal Wonderland, and many more.
