Dutch DJ Brings Tribal Flair To Big Room House
Quintino is one of the most established names in house music today. After his breakout collaboration ‘Epic’ with Sandro Silva in 2011, the dutch producer and DJ leapt onto the international scene. Playing on some of the biggest stages in the world and creating tracks with superstars like Hardwell and Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike is commonplace for Quintino now. And he’s back this week with another big room anthem in ‘Heey Ya.’
This newest release by the Dutch DJ has all the trappings of a dance floor hit. Exciting, upbeat instrumentation and a progressive breakdown that builds to an epic drop are sure to excite the crowd. But the most interesting thing about this track is the chant. Visceral, real, and integral to the song, the voices chant continuously: “Hey ya, Hey Ya, Hey Ya, Hey”. Throughout the track it evokes imagery of an indigenous tribe preparing for battle. Battle on the dance floor that is!
