While fans wait on bated breath for a Swedish House Mafia reunion tour, the EDM supergroup have hinted once again at an upcoming collaboration with Nike.
In honour of reuniting back at Ultra Music Festival in March, the group revealed a special line of merchandise that recently appointed Louis Vuitton chief designer, Virgil Abloh, and Nike have had a hand in designing. Additionally, back in March, SHM teased a custom collaboration with Nike and the iconic Air Force 1 Low. The sneakers are hand-painted by Kerin Rose Gold, creative designer of A-Morir, which is a studio that handles custom projects for entertainers, and corporations under the creative direction of Francisco Ragazzi of Palm Angels.
Now, another hint regarding a SHM and Nike collaboration has been revealed. Yesterday, Sebastian Ingrosso took to Instagram to post this photo. The photo shows a black t-shirt being worn by a gentleman with the classic three SHM dots, but in the shape of Nike swooshes. Steve Angello even commented, “@nike @nike @nike”, on the post.
Although the last round of their limited edition items didn’t go over so well with fans, hopefully this potential release will make up for it.
We’re not sure if this is about fashion, a new music video, or some other type of creative in the works, but one Reddit user, u/DNAABeats, has some interesting theories regarding the SHM x Nike rumours:
Whatever these hints may be pointing towards, we can’t deny that a Swedish House Mafia and Nike collaboration on anything would be amazing.
