This week, legendary DJ Armin van Buuren took some time for himself and went on vacation. This meant he would not be playing HÏ Ibiza this past Wednesday evening. His replacement? None other than Above & Beyond.
Oddly enough, this would be A&B’s one and only appearance at HÏ Ibiza this summer. Although their full set was not uploaded online, one generous attendee filmed the set with pretty good quality. You’ll see Jono and Tony spin some excellent tunes along with some seriously good light shows. The video is only about thirty minutes long with cropped highlights of the set. You’ll hear A&B classics like ‘We Are All We Need’, ‘Black Room Boy’, and ‘Sticky Fingers’. They also played frequently heard tracks like FATUM’s ‘Chocolate’ and Cosmit Gate’s remix of Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Only Road’.
Overall, the video gives you a good glimpse of what the night was like but unless you were actually there, you won’t know exactly what it felt like. Above & Beyond are always an incredible experience live and we hope next summer we get more Ibiza sightings from the trio.
