This club instrumental features the elegant, Icelandic vocals of Vok singer, Margaret Ran Magnusdottir. The Helsinki producer has done it again by giving us a heartbreak anthem to resonate with.
Powered by a compelling low-end bass line and groove, floating synths begin the track and slowly crescendo into Margaret’s ethereal singing of the words “listen closely”. This record exudes drama, distress, and profound contemplation with the lyrics “Can you feel? Can you feel my heartbeat? Not the one, just the one you left behind”. Margret’s moody Scandinavian tone fit the straightforward club vibe perfectly. You feel a wave of emotion as it starts and then breathe a sigh of relief when it ends. There is relentless joy in letting go of anything through this single.
Finnish DJ and producer Otto Yliperttula is a rising deep house star. Anjunadeep debuted him in early 2015 and he has gained a loyal following since. Support comes from Solomun, Jamie Jones, Patrice Baumel, Eric Prydz, Adriatique and Joris Voorn. Backed by such talent, he is ready to release his debut album, Hyperfall.
