This is Just-In for Dirtybird fans: Justin Jay is making his first return to DIRTYBIRD since his self-release cross over album ‘Home‘ on Fantastic Voyage. Our Los Angeles native brings back his classic sound with influences from house, techno, and disco in his new EP titled ‘Cash Money‘.
Groove to the eccentric synths, catchy vocals or buzz around that funky bassline. With meticulous percussion, this single is a standout tune for the young producer. Jay included a darker “Techno Dub” rendition for a late night treatment of subtle and simple percussive layers over an effective beat.
To commemorate his comeback with DIRTYBIRD, Justin is hitting the road with 18 stops on a tour across the US. He’ll be hitting cities of the same caliber name like The Great Northern in San Francisco and the Gilt Nightclub in Orlando. Catch him at Elements Music and Arts Fest in New York City or the Spybar in Chicago. On the West Coast? Find him at Skybar in Los Angeles, and of course the Dirtybird Campout in Modesto. The tour kicks off this week and will run well into early October.
Claude VonStroke plucked his first single ‘Static’ out of the general demo submission folder back in 2011. At the time, our little Jay wasn’t old enough to get into a club. At 22, he has grown into a full fledged member since his discovery. He’s played some of the biggest festivals and venues across the US. From his live acts to DJ sets, Jay never strayed away from his signature quirky vibe. He brings a breath of fresh air, adding techy, deep, and eccentric energy to non traditional house beats, vocals and melodies. As an official Dirtybird Player, he’s earned it.
