Virgil Abloh has taken the world by storm over the past few years. Most people know him for his creative fashion expertise but what most don’t know is that Abloh also has a huge passion for DJing. Now the fashion icon can add one more thing to his resume, having his own radio show.
Virgil is not only the founder of the Off-White fashion brand, but he was also named the heir to Kim Jone’s throne as the lead menswear designer of Louis Vuitton earlier this year. To add to his long list of accomplishments, Apple Music’s Beats 1 has just revealed that Virgil will host his own radio show called “Televised Radio“. With so many connections in music and fashion, there is no guessing who might pop up as a guest on Virgil’s show. The Off-White fashion brand blew up in recent years due to Virgil’s out-of-the-box imagination. Expect to see his incredibly creative mind on display through his radio show as well.
Virgil stated the following about his brand new radio show:
“Music has an amazing ability to bring people together, and I couldn’t think of a better format to catalog all the multidisciplinary work I do under one umbrella. I’m using the two hours every so often to discuss various design projects and the rationale around them . . . in an effort to highlight my friends that make up my creative world. Apple’s design legacy and consideration of fostering art and design made it a perfect partnership.”
Abloh’s first episode of “Televised Radio” aired this Monday so be sure to check it out now.
