In the dance music world everybody seems to know eachother now, but now we’re learning about a crazy chance encounter between two legends before they became stars. As Skrillex released his Pendulum remix last week, he reminisced on how he discovered the band.
the underground drum and bass scene was getting at the time. He played 2 for me that I ended up buying that day: DJ Baron “Operation Pipe Dream” & Pendulum “Hold Your Color.” I had already loved electronic music but after that day I told myself I would be a DJ 🙏🎼🏝🏖🏝🏖🏝🏖🏝

Sounds like a simple enough story, but apparently this wasn’t just any old record store. It was a record store owned and operated by a young Ryan Raddon aka Kaskade. What a strange coincidence it would be if it turned out that a college-going Kaskade introduced a 16yr old Skrillex to DJ music for the very first time.
You are blowing my mind 🤯. That was my record store I owned and operated while in college. This very well could have been me. Except I was snobby 😂 https://t.co/s6UuIFiwEC
