Police have confirmed that a 26-year-old British man, Ugo Wilson, was stabbed to death Wednesday morning at Hideout Festival in Croatia. Reports state that a fight had broken out at Zrće Beach directly outside the festival which later turned horribly wrong which left a man stabbed to death and another man in critical condition. There are currently seven people in custody in regards to this case.
Police reported that the suspected murderer was arrested at the Split airport. The suspect was trying to fly out of the area as he was stopped by police and taken into custody. Fans partying at the festival noted that the DJ stopped the music and asked everyone to leave the venue.
Following the incident, Hideout Festival released the following statement:
“We are giving every assistance to the investigation and our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of the people affected. As always, we are working closely with the local authorities with the safety and security of everyone on site as our top priority.”
