Avicii’s heartbreaking death was a surprise to all, sending ripples across the world. The artist who gave part of his soul through his music continues to influence producers in the scene. Countless artists have paid tribute since the passing like producer Kygo tattooing Avicii’s symbol on his wrist.
Now Oliver Heldens is taking to Twitter to describe his heartfelt desire to write a song to pay tribute to Tim Bergling.
I feel like writin a song about Avicii, but I don’t wanna disrespect anyone at the same time, so it’s prob gonna be some prog house, cause that’s Avicii to me: the best melodies. I just dislike when people milk shit out like toothpaste in a small tube , some point it’s finished:(

Living in an age where things are done incessantly, Oliver expresses his concern about feeding into the event even more. He obviously doesn’t want to come off as taking advantage of the situation, but surely him and other producers are still feeling strong emotions which are best expressed through song.
