Instead of trying to find a new venue or negotiate new terms, the French techno festival has embraced the idea of the underground event. But in broad daylight. With the event starting May 1st, all the festival’s promoters are still setting up for a full scale festival. They even created a poster with the phrase “Government Say No! But Tekno Say Tekno”, complete with a character flipping off the cops.
Teknival is set to begin in Marigny, Marne and expected to draw roughly 60,000 attendees, even as an illegal event.
