Dutch duo Tinlicker returns with this fresh rework of the San Franciscans hit featuring Jan Burton titled ‘Underwater’. A pulsating, groove-heavy rework, this is another dance floor oriented remix on Gabriel & Dresden’s iTunes dance album ‘The Only Road’.
One of the few acts whose sound feels at home on either Anjuna label, this electronic track is sure to make you move. Starting with electronic synths and Jan Burton’s voice slowly entering the intro, you get a sense of the 80s. His voice is deep, yet sensual. The elemental sounds of Tinlicker shine through.
“Underwater” repeats and it almost does make you feel like you are swimming slowly through a deep ocean. Halfway through, just Burton’s vocals speak but then the pulsing bass returns. Resting at a comfortable 122 bpm, letting the beat of the synths carry you.
“It is always about being timeless,” Dresden states. “We don’t pay much attention to trends. We choose sounds and words that…will mean something to a lot of people and…make them put their hands in the air,” Gabriel affirms.
