Last year was a big year for hardstyle as a genre. Not only did Headhunterz make his official return, but the most iconic duo in all of hard dance, Showtek, made their way back to the genre. On December 16th the duo laid down a full 75-minute set of hardstyle at Knockout Circuz in Sydney. And just like Headhunterz return, Showtek’s return set was everything you could have ever wanted and more.
Kicking off their set with The Prophet’s remix of ‘Cannonball’ really got the crowd going. And the set only got better from there. From ‘The Colour of The Harder Styles’ to ‘Get Loose’ to ‘Black’, they played all of their classic tracks and everything you could possibly have wanted to hear from them. Naturally they saved the best for last, closing with Sound Rush’s recent remix of their iconic ‘FTS’. From start to finish, this set was nothing short of incredible.
Does this mean the duo is back for good? There’s no official word yet but we certainly hope they’ll be announcing their return in the near future. In the meantime, give all 75 minutes of their massive set an early watch below.
