Kygo is back after the release of his late 2017 album Kids in Love, this time with an emotional single ‘Remind Me to Forget‘ featuring Miguel on vocals. The lyrics are a sad ride through the aftermath of a breakup, made a little easier set to Kygo’s gentle tropical house beats.
In early November, Kygo dropped his second album full of features from well-known artists, and this track is a perfect addendum. Kygo’s latest direction in his music uses primarily piano and strings, rather than the marimba beats that made him famous early in his career. Instead of chopping vocals for effect, he relies on Miguel’s vocals to keep the rhythm going to great effect.
Miguel recently performed at the 2018 Oscars, after being featured on the soundtrack for the Disney/Pixar film Coco. He has released four albums since 2010, his latest War & Leisure was released this past December.
