When you’re as musically talented as Joel Zimmerman, you can release music under as many aliases as you’d like. So for him going back and forth from performing as deadmau5 and his techno side project Testpilot is a breeze. So when he played as Testpilot at this year’s Holy Ship, it was interesting to see him venture onto a mainstream events stage with his lesser known alter-ego.
It was a rare event, and he provided a quality performance like always. The best part, all of it is on film. Another rave savior lugged a camera AND a tripod this time with him to this event so he could capture Testpilot’s 90 minute set on the main deck of Holy Ship 2018. If you have ever video recorded a set on your phone at an event you know that holding up a camera or even phone for that long is not an option. Thanks to this guy or gal for being prepared and getting this footage, check it all out below.
