As the year comes to a close, we count down the absolute best of the best. We’ve already named the top tracks of 2017 from 20 to 11. Go check that out here if you haven’t already. And now we are finishing that off by listing the 10 absolute best tracks (in our opinion) of all of 2017. Let us know what you think.
Odesza – A Moment Apart
Odesza fans may have had to wait for seemingly forever for a new album but A Moment Apart definitely did not disappoint. And the similarly titled track was the standout track of the album and a standout track of any from this year.
W&W vs Vini Vici – Chakra
Psy-trance was big in 2017 and Vini Vici was the biggest name in psy-trance. ‘Chakra‘ along with ‘Great Spirit’ were some of the best psy-trance tracks to be released.
Jason Ross & Seven Lions – Higher Love
An absolutely gorgeous track with a moving buildup and drop, this Seven Lions and Jason Ross collab was a must play in festival sets and a must have in our list of top tunes of the year.
Illenium – Fractures
2017 was a killer year for Illenium. His album, Awake, was named our number one album of the year. It only makes sense that at least one of the tracks off that album was included in our list of top tracks of the year.
Seven Lions & Kill The Noise – Cold Hearted
Seven Lions is back on our list with another amazing collab. Featuring the best of two amazing producers, it’s no wonder why this track is included in our list.
Camelphat – Cola
Named BBC Radio 1‘s Hottest Record In The World, this unique and sophisticated house record was included in nearly everyone’s sets over the year. And for a good reason: it’s straight fire.
Above & Beyond – Northern Soul
Above & Beyond may have already been featured on this list but that isn’t stopping them from claiming another spot with another beautiful, melodic offering.
Gareth Emery – Saving Light
From being named the number one track on Beatport to being named the ASOT tune of the year, it’s pretty indisputable that this Gareth Emery track was one of the best tunes of the year.
Pryda – Stay With Me
No matter the alias, nearly everything Eric Prydz drops is fire. This dark and powerful track released under his Pryda alias was especially spectacular and a close contender for the number 1 track of the year.
Gryffin & Illenium – Feel Good
A fitting title because that’s exactly what you’ll feel after listening to this track. Having over 3 million streams on Soundcloud alone and having been treated to a million and one remixes over the course of the year, this collab between Gryffin & Illenium was definitely one of the top tunes of the year and our pick for the best tune of the year.
