Back in the spring of 2016, Zeds Dead announced that they were launching their very own record label Deadbeats Records. The Toronto-based bass music pioneers did this as part of a pact they made to only release next-level music from newer artists. Less than one year later, the duo dropped their first Deadbeats compilation. It further solidified the careers of REZZ, Pusher and Megalodon, to name a few of the incredible artists included.
Zeds Dead now looks to make the label compilation an annual occasion with Deadbeats Compilation 2. The LP offers up 10 brand new tracks that explore all realms of bass music. From dubstep and grime-inspired tracks like YOOKiE‘s “Intruder Alert” to Rickyxsan‘s trap heater “Insane” and the bass house cuts from Nebbra’s and Astronomer, the entire compilation is a unique project with a sound for every bass head.
