Norwegian producer Matoma is the latest tropical house DJ to be honored with a spot performing at the Nobel Peace Price Concert. In 2015, Kygo was the first EDM producer to play at Telenor Arena for the ceremony; he successfully brought his tropical house goodness to the world’s hearts.
For the 24th year of the concert Matoma will be joined by fellow Norwegian Alan Walker, celebrating the 2017 laureate the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons. Other acts for the evening include John Legend, Zara Larsson and Sigrid Raabe.
Matoma’s announcement reads:
“I’m incredibly proud and honored to announce that I will be performing at this year’s Nobel Peace Prize Concert, I’ll be coming to Telenor Arena in Oslo on December 11 bringing some special guests, some surprises, and as always, some good vibes and love! The Peace Prize is all about spreading the love, and as you know that’s always been my message so I’m humbled and honored to be asked to perform at this beautiful and incredible concert.”
Fresh off the release of his latest track ‘Slow’ with Noah Cyrus, Matoma is preparing for the launch of his second album One In A Million, slated for release on March 9, 2018. Beginning in January 2018, he’ll be on the road with a carbon-positive tour certified by CHOOOSE.
Fitting for chill tropical house vibes, the Peace Prize concert will bring some great exposure for the activist artist.
