Twenty-five minutes into the radio show ‘Avicii FM #003,’ Avicii’s Tim Bergling nonchalantly shared that his recently released documentary ‘True Stories‘ will be making a Netflix appearance.
On October 26, Avicii chose to internationally release the Levan Tsikurishvili creation in 40 countries 600 theaters for a one-night-only viewing. The film premiere included 30 minutes of exclusive footage that showcased Bergling’s last live performance, before retirement, at Ushuaia Ibiza on August 28, 2016. Avicii nor Netflix have confirmed an arrival date.
“I’m releasing my documentary this weekend,” said Bergling. “Levan [Tsikurishvili] whose the director of the documentary has followed me for the past four years I think, four or five years, and he’s had so much material from both in the studio, from behind the scenes on concerts during good and bad times. I’m really excited. I’m also a bit nervous because it is kind of gritty sometimes. It’s very personal. Theres a lot of ups and downs. It’s going to be interesting what people say. I think it’s going to be in a bunch of movie theaters. Also, on Netflix after that.”
