AFK & Carbin – Boss
Bass producer Mckenzie Morrow, known around the world as Carbin, and dubstep prodigy Jimmy Blithe, better known as AFK, have teamed up to create ‘Boss’ – a filthy dubstep track that debuted today on Jauz’s new label Bite This!
BITE THIS is a collective I’ve been thinking about starting for a really long time, but never thought it would actually be possible to make a reality. This isn’t a record label, this isn’t some giant conglomerate EDM Machine trying to take over the universe, this is just my vehicle for being able to put out MY music, the way I WANT to, and most importantly a way for me to help shine light on the artists around me who are so talented and haven’t been heard or seen by the world yet. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help and guidance of so many artists, labels, collectives and the like – so I always promised myself that once I got to a certain point in my career or life, that I would do whatever I could to repay that very thing back to as many kids who deserve it as possible. – Jauz
Since Sam Vogel rose to fame as Jauz, he has accumulated an enormous fanbase along with unwavering support from artists like Skrillex, Diplo, Zedd, Borgore and Destructo. Now he is using his status in a way we can appreciate by creating a platform to expose new artists in the industry to his followers. Bite This is a true testament to both his character as an artist and his genuine love for music. Hats off to you, Sam. You are an inspiration.
“Boss” begins with a small dubstep buildup with a melody which then is followed by an echo to build right back up to the drop. Then, it drops into some crazy dubstep followed by the a vocal hook that will end up stuck in your head before long. Check it out and pick up your copy below!
