With Halloween rapidly approaching, everybody is getting their plans ready for a scary good time. We’ve already shown you a list of some of the best mini-festivals around the country for Halloween this year, but one of them truly stands out. DiskoLab‘s Wynwood Fear Factory in Miami is touching down for its second year at the famed RC Cola Plant.
Wynwood Fear Factory is the largest music & Halloween themed festival in the Southeast. This year’s lineup features artists like Porter Robinson, Fedde Le Grand, Andrew Rayel, Oliver Heldens, Yellow Claw, DJ Snake, and 3LAU. WFF takes place on October 28 and 29, and both 2-day & single day tickets are now available. GA tickets are 18+ while VIP tickets are 21+. IP tickets include priority entry and exclusive access to a private VIP area with elevated viewing deck and 21+ bars, premium restroom trailers, and specialty WFF gift bag.
Meanwhile, in response to the catastrophes of Hurricane Irma and Maria, Wynwood Fear Factory has teamed with Global Empowerment Mission where event organizers will donate 100% of their net proceeds from the event to directly benefit Hurricane Irma and Maria victims. Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2011 by Miami nightlife icon turned humanitarian Michael Capponi. GEM, alongside experienced aid groups We Do Better, Third Wave Volunteers and BStrong have all joined forces to form a committee called Be Strong Global Better. #BeStrongGlobalBetter’s current focus is the catastrophic destruction caused by hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria and Jose. #BeStrongGlobalBetter is a small team who is changing the game, tackling relief work head on and taking matters into their own hands. The group is now managing three warehouses where aid is being crated, sorted and put on trucks from the entire US and then sent over to the areas most affected by these storms. The group has already collectively sent over 40 planes to Puerto Rico with millions in aid and is now phasing into its next step, sending a large ship with hundreds of containers to Puerto
Rico, U.S. Virgin Island and Dominica.
