It’s been merely 5 years since Hayden Capuazzo, better known as Kayzo, first picked up a computer with the intent to teach himself the art of dance music production. 5 years later, he’s sold-out the Hollywood Palladium in a single day for his headlining performance at Bassrush massive, the Doghouse Takeover.
Living in LA, I can attest to the fact that the Doghouse Takeover was truly the talk of the town. If you were scrolling on Twitter Saturday night, you could’ve tuned into minute by minute updates of the wild show. There was a rat pack of DJ’s performing all across LA that very night, but none received the level of fanfare and praise as Kayzo’s performance.
Kayzo was joined by 4B, Dubloadz, Gammer, and JSTJR as supporting acts, but the biggest surprise of the night was when he brought out rock band Sum 41 for an impromptu jam sesh of the hit “Fat Lip.” And just when you thought the Doghouse couldn’t get anymore hyped, DJ Snake steps out. I know I can speak for many when I say the FOMO is real.
Lesson learned: Don’t sleep on Kayzo tickets. Check out some footage
