“I think we can all relate to both sides of Obsession, either as the one who’s caught up in someone or the one who’s captivating someone else. It feels like now with social media and constant communication, it’s so much easier to get wrapped up in someone and always have little reminders of them. Musically, I’d been playing around with incorporating more guitar in with some electronic ideas, and we wanted the chorus to have a tiny bit of that late 70’s rock/funk/disco influence. And the outro was just taking that one step further and just letting the vocal really embrace that for a little while that bass line just kept pushing.” – SAN
