If you love Dirtybird, then your paradise awaits you this coming weekend at the 2017 Dirtybird Campout in Bradley, CA. Whether you’re a first timer or have been to every single Campout, there is something for everyone at this extremely inviting gathering. The unique festival experience has a schedule jam packed with games and activities, a large spread of BBQ, artist interactives, and music that goes into the late hours of the night. Let’s just say that summer isn’t over until Dirtybird Records says it’s over.
The lineup packs a punch with all your favorite Dirtybird mainstays mixed in with a ton of top notch talent. It has a wide range of genres that will please house, techno, bass and hip-hop lovers across the board. To get you in the mood for the big weekend, here are 10 tracks that will have you dancing until you pull up to the festival gates. See you soon Birds!
Claude VonStroke & Will Clarke – Tiny Tambourine
This track is fresh out of the studio and ready to be played live. In a way, this classically contagious Dirtybird track embodies the essence of the festival- an irresistible deep house sound that makes you smile at the silly course line. I bet anything that there will be a plethora of people in the crowd shaking tiny tambourines throughout the weekend.
Chris Lorenzo, Hannah Wants – Rhymes
Chris Lorenzo has a knack for making some serious bangers. Although this is one of his most recognizable songs, it’s one of his best. As soon as it starts, you want to loose your mind. I can only imagine the rowdiness that will happen during his set.
Green Velvet and Walker & Royce – Rub Anotha Dub
Walker & Royce have played some of the most funs sets I have ever seen and I can’t wait to see hear this new track drop live. It’s incredibly catchy and is one of those sing-a-long house tunes that gets everyone moving.
Mikey Lion, Sacha Robotti – Ol’ Dirty Hearts
Desert Hearts Records and Dirtybird have a long standing love affair and it appears evident in this track. Both DH head honcho Mikey Lion and Sacha Robotti will be in attendance, and it’s pretty much guaranteed that this track will drop at some point. It is a perfect sentiment to the vibe that will be taking place this weekend.
Walker & Royce – Hit Dem Draws
This is hands down one of my favorite Dirtybird tracks. So many different artists have played this in their mixes and I became obsessed with it once it officially came out last year. Just listen and you’ll instantly be hooked.
Barclay Crenshaw – U Are In My System
I first saw Claude’s side project at last year’s campout. The set was at 5am, I had been listening to house for 7 hours, and wasn’t ready for what he was about to drop. The only way I can describe it is intergalactic hip-hop house mixed with bass, and it’s absolutely amazing. This track in particular stuck with me. Don’t miss out on Barclay Crenshaw is all I’m saying.
Cut Snake – Magic
Cut Snake is one of those artists where each song they have sounds different than the next. This is just one of their tracks I highly recommend to listen to if you haven’t already. It’s this incredibly catchy song with a super dark vibe that consumes you. I have been waiting to see this duo for some time now and will not be missing their set this weekend.
Sonny Fodera – Always Gonna Be (feat. Alex Mills)
Sonny Fodera knows how to get a crowd moving with his diverse range of tunes. What I like about this song in particular is that it catches you off guard. It starts off a bit melodic with soulful vocals then drops into a house beat that is insanely good. I have always loved his music and can’t wait to see what he puts together this weekend.
Amtrac – Informal Disco
Amtrac’s music is one thing digitally and another live. I was so impressed with his live set the first time I saw him that I have gone to every show he’s played in my area ever since. This track is so uplifting and irresistible, it makes you get lost in a trance.
Weiss – Bounce
This track also captures the essence of the vibe at Dirtybird. Being surrounded by people in the crowd bouncing and dancing like nobody’s watching. It is simple yet so damn contagious and danceable you can’t not like it.
