Look out iPhone X – Samsung is preparing to compete as it gears up to launch its new phone, the Galaxy X.
The iPhone and Galaxy phones have been going head-to-head for years now, but this year Samsung is trying something new: a foldable screen. This is especially nice because phone screens have gotten increasingly large in the past few years. By making the screen foldable, phones can still have massive screens – that Samsung is known for – but still fit snug in a pocket.
A certificate for a model number that matches the Galaxy X was spotted by Dutch tech site LetsGoDigital in South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency’s database. The certification doesn’t reveal too much information about the new phone, but it does seem to confirm it’s existence. Samsung will most likely release the phone in South Korea first, with a Western release later in the year.
Though timing is yet to be confirmed, keep an eye out for more information about the phone early next year.
