Miami might be home to Ultra Music Festival and Life in Color Festival, but outside of those times the city has a much more subdued dance music scene. There are small clubs, but rarely can you find a large spectacle event that feels like the epicness of Miami Music Week. Zeds Dead changed that by kicking off their Deadbeats Tour in Miami with an event that would be right at home in March.
Deadbeats Miami went down at Mana Wynwood, memorable for shows like Above & Beyond’s 2015 huge showcase. The massive warehouse structure was decked out with a full stage, LED walls, lasers, and a huge crowd. There may have been some sound calibration issues early on in the night, but the music still pounded and the lineup impressed from beginning to end.
Things really kicked into high gear when SLANDER went B2B with Kayzo for a rip-roaring collaboration that will surely be seen again. Of course Zeds Dead headlined, throwing down an amazing set mixing their dubstep side with the more bass house elements we see from them today. Big props go out to promoter BLNK CNVS for bringing Deadbeats to Miami and to everyone who made this epic show happen.
